“The games we used to play in my childhood at our summer cottage in Ylänne, Southwest Finland, act as the inspiration behind the Saunatikut design. The cottage’s yard on a beautiful lakeside was a fabulous spot for playing different outdoor games. A game called 10 sticks on a plank was my personal favourite. After playing, we would always swim in the lake and bathe in the sauna. The Saunatikut design’s playful pattern reflects the sticks of the game on the plank”.
